DEBBIE FINE - CENTER FOR AMERICAN PROGRESS
Debbie Fine is the SVP, General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of the Center for American Progress. Ten years ago, she moved to DC from New York—where she'd been in MoFo's technology transactions group—to join American Progress when the policy institute was very new. She says she wanted to use her legal training to help build a strong, relevant progressive organization. Debbie established the legal department, and says she's proud of how integrated the legal team is in CAP's organizational efforts on issues such as reducing income inequality, expanding healthcare coverage and protecting the planet. She enjoys being part of a large staff of 300 talented and diverse individuals that pursue a mission based on shared values.
