DLA Piper Associate's Body Discovered in Hotel
Our thoughts are with the family and friends of DLA Piper IP associate David Messerschmitt, who was discovered stabbed to death on Tuesday, reports the Washington Post. The tragic situation came to light when his body was found by police around 11am in the Donovan, a boutique hotel on Thomas Circle. The 30-year-old, who lived on Capitol Hill, was earlier reported missing by his wife.
The DC Metropolitan Police Department identified a person of interest, shown in camera footage it released from Monday night. The Post reports that there's a $25K reward for information leading to a conviction.
