K&L Gates Gets Fashionable
The Carnegie Library's never looked so fashionable: K&L Gates recently held its annual Women in the Profession networking event, featuring local female business owners focused on fashion and jewelry design. More than 200 women attended for cocktails and networking, including K&L Gates partners Shanda Hastings, Ndenisarya Bregasi and Diane Ambler and associates Jackie Chan, Kara Ward, Liz Marshall, Meg Laurent and Amy Conant.
Local artists Maggie O'Neill painted a piece live, which was raffled off to benefit Dress for Success DC. Here's how you know it was truly a fashionable event: the costume designer for the hit show Scandal, Andrea Cecile Cohen, was rumored to be in attendance. She came with DC designer Julia Farr, a former corporate securities attorney.
