Rock Out For a Cause
Tomorrow at the Black Cat is one of the DC legal community's most entertaining events: Banding Together, the 12th Annual Battle of the Law Firm Bands. Founded by Kirkland environmental transactional practice head Walt Lohmann, the concert raises funds for Gifts for the Homeless, which spends 100% of the money on buying and distributing clothes to homeless DC residents. Above, Sutherland Comfort performs. Last year's event raised more than $300k—can we top that?
Vote for your favorite bands by donating dollars. Just look how happy it made Williams & Connolly's band, Dangerous Communications Device, when it won by raising $59k. Starting at 7pm on Thursday until midnight, enjoy hours of beer and attorney bands rocking out, with names like Terminal Disclaimer (Sterne Kessler), Larry & the Landlawyers (Walsh Colucci), The Unnamed Party (Paul Hastings, Hunton, and Arent Fox) and the Estoppelgangers (Latham).
