Taking the Plunge

More than 7,000 people ran into the chilly Chesapeake Bay to raise money for the Maryland Special Olympics. The 19th annual Polar Bear Plunge also utilized something we've heard a lot about lately: drones. The aerial robots have been used in everything from music videos to congressional hearings, and we saw them flying at the National Press Club.

Brave Plunge participant Stuart TenHoor, who owns a legal search firm in the DC Metro area, and his son Aidan, spotted drones buzzing around the event taking photographs, sent up by a recreational user. It's their second time at the event--but their first spotting UAVs.
