The David A. Clarke School of Law at the University of the District of Columbia—headed by Dean Katherine Broderick—is one the lookout for a director of career services to run the Office of Career and Professional Development. The position reports directly to the Dean (who we snapped at the '14 DC AG debate) and requires a JD and at least five years of legal practice. If you're interested, check out more info here.
Scoutt Prize Nominations
The DC Bar Foundation, headed by Kirra Jarratt (snapped above at a welcome breakfast in her honor) is looking for nominees for the 24th annual Jerrold Scoutt Prize. Named for a founding partner of Zuckert, Scoutt & Rasenberger, the award honors an individual who's spent much of his or her legal career at a nonprofit that gives direct legal services to disadvantaged DC residents. Last year's winner was Capital Area Immigrants' Rights Coalition exec director Kathryn Doan. Look for more info here and send in nominations by Nov. 6.
