Women in Government Contracts Get “Sipping Pointers”
A record crowd recently attended Wiley Rein's annual fall networking event hosted by the Women in Government Contracting group. The draw: a wine-tasting reception and presentation by sommelier Laurie Forster, also known as "The Wine Coach." Fortunately, Laurie's no stranger to large audiences, often making TV and radio appearances on ABC, Fox, SiriusXM and Dr. Oz. She's also the author of The Sipping Point.
Wiley Rein partners Rachel Alexander and Kara Sacilotto developed the event, one of several sponsored by the Women in Government Contracting group each year. Guests from government, the private sector and academia got pointers on wine essentials, how to select the right wine for each occasion and wine pairings. Then they used their newfound knowledge in a wine tasting complemented by hors d'oeuvres. Cheers.
