Kidney Foundation Congressional Dinner!
Last night we went to the third annual National Kidney Foundation Congressional Dinner at the Liaison Hotel. ABC7 anchor and reporter Jummy Olabanji emceed; she's with Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority’s Sherri Ly.
The event was chaired by former HHS secretary, Gov. Tommy Thompson, right, and honored Congressman John Lewis, flanked by NKF CEO Kevin Longino and Chairman Art Pasquarella.
NKF is the leading US organization fighting to prevent and treat kidney disease. Here, its rep Gary Renville and National Capital Area executive director Michele Anthony bookend honoree NC Sen. Richard Burr.
