Butterfly Bash!
We went to a kickoff party for the 2014 Butterfly Bash Host Committee. We snapped the hostess, Nancy Taylor-Bubes, who held the party in her Georgetown home, with Carrie Marriott, who, along with her husband David, will be honored on Nov. 7 for their dedication to children. They’re with founder Amanda Marshall and exec director Gretchen Van der Veer of Fair Chance, the non-profit that holds the gala.
This year’s Butterfly Bash co-chairs: Patrick Chauvin, Myles King, Julie Rienzo, and Kaci Williams.
Gala proceeds will support Fair Chance’s work improving the lives of children in DC’s most underserved communities. Since 2002, it's partnered with 85 nonprofits and helped 80,000 children. Here, One World Education founder Eric Goldstein, Generation Hope founder Nicole Lynn Lewis, and Fair Chance Board vice chair JoJo Spallone.
Skins tight end Chris Cooley will emcee the Butterfly Bash. Here, Seraphim's Bruce Hiler, Fair Chance development director Brett Norton, and Board chair Bob King.
