Cesar Chavez!
Last night we headed to the Newseum for the red carpet DC premiere of Cesar Chavez hosted by Voto Latino.
We snapped Cesar Chavez star Rosario Dawson talking to fans and reporters on the red carpet. She plays labor leader and Presidential Medal of Freedom winner Dolores Huerta in the film about the farm labor activist.
D&P Creative Strategies’ Ingrid Duran and Catherine Pino surround former LA Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa who flew here from California for this special occasion. Or maybe he just got bored with 80-degree weather.
Cesar Chavez will have a private screening at the White House tonight. Here, Rosario Dawson's mom and Mosaic Tribe CEO Isabel Celeste Dawson is bookended by DC Council candidate Bryan Weaver and CNN political commentator Maria Cardona.
Political and Hispanic activists came from around the country. Here, Dept. of Agriculture’s and Cesar’s granddaughter Christine Chavez, AltaMed’s Kristie Hernandez, FDA Deputy COS Oscar Gonzales, Sen. Harry Reid’s Estee Sepulveda, and the City of LA’s Jennie Carreon De Lacey.
Hispanic Heritage Foundation’s Julian Alcazar, First Home Care’s Candi Cdebaca, Cesar Chavez Foundation’s Michelle Dhansinghani, and D&P Creative Strategies’ Roberto Adrian Fierro.
