Chefs for Equality!
We headed to the Ritz Carleton for the Human Rights Campaign’s Chefs for Equality.
More than 100 top chefs from the DC area showcased signature bites. We particularly liked McLean restaurant Harth’s shrimp and grits. We snapped Volt’s Hilda Staples, James River Distillery’s Kristi Croxton, and Georgetowner’s Kelly Muccio.
We loved the cucumber and orange cocktail by Chaplin bartenders Julianna Trafton, Adimir Gomez, Jacob Simpson, Chad Spangler, and Micah Wilder.
USDA’s Karl Maxwell, American Chemistry Council’s Steve Russell, physician Bruce Bonn, and John McLarty. The theme of the dessert reception was Virginia is for Lovers to highlight marriage equality in the Commonwealth.
Black Restaurant Group’s Kelly Sault and Megan Rognrud join Republic’s Sarah Nash and Matt Lichvar. The silent auction included private dinners by many of the chefs.
What Do I Wear’s Joel Cas, Founding Farmers’ Meaghan O'Shea, Farmers Restaurant Group VP, Jennifer Motruk, and Westfield Montgomery’s Diego Gonzalez.
