EWG EATS!
Last night we also headed to the Environmental Working Group’s EWG Eats: A Journey Through Food dinner at the Longview Gallery. EWG educates people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. The unique tasting dinner featured nutritious and organic recipes from EWG staff who partnered with local chefs. We snapped EWG’s Scott Faber and co-founder Ken Cook, chair Ami Aronson, and board member Rob Fetherstonhaugh.
We received a map directing us around the gallery to different food stations. Some faves: brocco-leaf greensadillas, sake glazed cod with soy vinaigrette, and chocolate orange truffles. Here, environmental activist Erin Brockovich who famously was played by Julia Roberts, is surrounded by Mama Glow’s Latham Thomas, Christine Tirpak, and EWG’s Heather White.
There were also tasty specialty drinks like bourbon cider, jack rose cocktail, and pear champagne. Here, EWG’s Sara Sciammacco, and Qualitarian nutrition expert Ashley Koff.
The 300 guests received some cool swag bags, which included BannerBee’s raw honey, bamboo utensils, and recipes for all the food served. Here, EWG’s Katie Peacor, Renee Sharp, Johanna Congleton, and Chris Campbell.
