Another jam-packed weekend--more tomorrow! We went to the YWCA USA Women of Distinction Awards Gala at Hyatt Regency Washington on Capitol Hill to see Eva Longoria.
We snapped the actress and activist who was honored with the Dorothy I. Heights Racial Justice Award for her commitment to peace, justice, and dignity for all.
Also honored: Commander Zoe Dunning, S.C. USNR, one of the openly gay military members to serve; One Love Foundation co-founder Sharon Love, which she started when her daughter Yeardley was killed at UVA; and Allstate Insurances Victoria Dinges. YWCA USA CEO Dara Richardson-Heron (second from right) is flanked by the three award winners.
The gala took place during YWCA'sWhat Women Want annual conference, as leaders from across the country share best practices and advocate for women and girls. Here, One Love Foundations Mary Ellen Barthelme and Liz Klein flank YWCAs Robin Scullin.
