Fashion Pop-up!
Last night we also went to the MM.LaFleur pop-up at the District Architecture Center featuring former NBC Meet The Press executive producer Betsy Fischer Martin. We snapped her flanked by CQ Roll Call's Abby Livingston, who will soon take over The Texas Tribune’s newly created DC bureau as bureau chief, and by CNN global affairs correspondent Elise Labott. There was a cocktail reception, a panel discussion with the journalists about their DC careers, a Q & A with the panel and fashion tips from the journalists.
A portion of the evening's sales went to Newsbabes, a breast cancer charity founded in 2008 by local anchorwomen. Here, BBC News North America correspondent Rajini Vaidyanathan and World News America producer Sarah Svoboda with MM.LaFleur CEO Sarah LaFleur and creative director Miyako Nakamura.
MM.LaFleur makes fashionable office-appropriate clothing. Here, The Hill’s Lauren Ashburn (in red) is surrounded by Rep. Donna Edwards staffers Allyson Alvaré, Komaki Foster and Anne Nelson.
BBC correspondent David Willis is bookended by BrandLinkDC’s Katharine Ragsdale and Brooke Henderson. The pop-up runs until Sunday.
