Georgetown Fashion Art Design!
On Saturday, there was a VIP brunch at the City Tavern Club to kick off the second annual Fashion Art Design Georgetown, a free, all-day, into-the-night event celebrating the area’s creative culture. Here, FotoWeek founder Theo Adamstein, the Georgetown BID’s Rachel Cothran, arts consultant Kristin Guiter, Georgetown BID CEO Joe Sternlieb, and Visit Denmark’s Christina Heinze Johansson.
A highlight of this year’s FAD was the D.C. premiere of fashion documentary Advanced Style at the AMC Loews Georgetown. Here, NeuProfile’s Jessica Hoy, A Loyal Love blogger Tammy Preston, Gregslist’s Jamie Gulin, and Spicy Candy blogger Carlis Sanchez.
Afterward, countless art, culture, and fashion enthusiasts browsed Georgetown shops, art galleries, and design showrooms for promotions, music, and art happenings, including a live mural painting by street artist Kelly Towles, inspired by the beautiful C&O Canal. It’s on view through early January on the façade of 3000 M St, and will later be auctioned to support the Canal’s restoration.
