Harlow Dinner!
Last night we also went to the Capitol Hilton for the 32nd annual Bryce Harlow Foundation Awards Dinner, saluting the best policy players, both advocates and those in government. We snapped Sen. John McCain who introduced awardee Charlie Black, his long-time friend, by joking, If it werent for Charlies advice, Id be president. But after I lost, I slept like a baby: sleep two hours, get up and cry
Charlie Black was honored with the Business-Government Relations Award for integrity in professional advocacy. He's flanked by his wifeJudy Black, former ICSC honcho now at Brownstein Hyatt, and her colleague and Harlow Foundation chair Juanita Duggan. The Foundation supports 20 Fellows with graduate school scholarships.
