Helping Children Blossom!
We went to the historic Glenview Mansion in Rockville for the CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) of Montgomery County’s Helping Children Blossom fundraiser.
We snapped honoree NBC4 anchor Barbara Harrison, right, with Redman Communications’ Debbie Redman.
The annual fundraiser supports CASA’s mission to advocate for the timely placement of abused and neglected children in safe, permanent homes. Here, the Wash Post columnist who started Kids Post, John Kelly, was presented with the Barbara Harrison Child Advocacy Award for his long service to the DC community. He’s flanked by CASA exec director Francha Davis and board prez Barbara Faigen.
Currently serving 400 to 500 children in MoCo, CASA-MD ensures they get high quality care while under the court's jurisdiction. Here are co-chairs Melissa Curry and Linda Stewart with state director Ed Kilcullen and CASA’s Jennifer Carson.
Guests enjoyed dancing, cocktails, light fare, and a silent auction with all proceeds benefiting CASA. Here, Excess Baggage founder Nancy Gould, realtor Lauren Kline, Halo’s Cathy Hodin, Veritas Law Firm’s Andrew Kline, and Bailey Rothman’s Dan Hodin.
