It's a... Kitten!

We visited the Vola Lawson Animal Shelter in Alexandria for the Animal Welfare League of Alexandrias (AWLA) Baby Shower. This time of year, puppy and kitten season, makes the shelter home to many unplanned and unwanted litters. We snapped Mama Cat with her two-week-old kittens.
The baby shower was a donation drive for food, toys, andpet supplies for this busy season. Since1946,AWLA has provided shelter for animals in need, and promoted adoptions and responsible pet ownership, placing1,300 animalsinto homes each year.Here, AWLA volunteers Hollie Smith, Casey Gareis, and Cindy Broome.
