Jazz in the Garden!
For 14 years, DC's summer tradition has been to flock to the National Gallery of Art garden on Friday afternoons for the free concert series, as Jazz in the Garden hosts jazz bands with a variety of styles including swing, fusion, and funk. We snapped Senator Chambliss’ Holden Burford bookended by Rep. Jack Kingston’s Marshall Mosher and Donte Blair.
Jazz goers set up their picnics among abstract sculptures and drank Sangria on the lawn. Here, Mercer’s Caroline Caldwell and Michael Midkiff flank FTI Consulting’s Andrew Dailey and CoStar Group’s Max Peker; at right, Accenture’s Tim Frerichs and Sritheja Gulukota.
We could relax in the Pavilion Cafe or dip our feet in the wading pool to cool off. Here, WISE program’s Logen Johnson, Sravya Khasnavees, and Erin Alderink surround Paul Gottlich and IBM’s Sam Ancona.
The Sin Miedo band played Latin jazz while the crowd danced the salsa.
