Last night we went to the National Building Museum for the annual Smithsonian Craft Show preview night benefit.

Honorary chair Martha Stewart, who was at the first Smithsonian Craft Show 31 years ago, is with basketry exhibitor Mary Jackson.

Guests enjoyed a buffet dinner and drinks. We snapped Kitty Kelley (right) author of best-selling unauthorized biographies (Jackie Kennedy, Elizabeth Taylor, Frank Sinatra) with Sarah Gorman.

The craft show is an all-volunteer effort by the Smithsonian Women's Committee. This year,121 exhibitorsfrom around the country, including44 first-timeartists, were invited. Here,wood exhibitor Joel Urruty, Russell Reynolds DC office head Denise Grant, Tyrell Flawn, and Jennifer Levin. The show runs through the weekend.
