Police & Fire Games!
We also headed to the 21st annual Tysons Regional Chamber of Commerce Casino Night over the weekend, benefiting the Fairfax 2015 World Police & Fire Games at the Westwood Country Club. A team of Fairfax County police officers, firefighters, customs, and corrections officers is training to play in the international World Police & Fire Games. Held biennially, Fairfax will host the 2015 games. Here, First Financial Group’s Cortney Thomas, TRCC’s Kelly Brown, and Cvent’s Chelsea Goff.
As part of TRCC’s exceptional outreach mission, a local organization is honored each year in support of the Fairfax community. We snapped NSGA’s DJ Mackovets, Fairfax Co fire chief Richard Bowers Jr., chair Sharon Bulova and deputy county exec/former police chief Dave Rohrer, World Police & Fire Games’ CEO Bill Knight, and Sage Communications’ Steve Winter.
The evening was full of excitement as each guest received $25k in gaming cash to play at the roulette, craps, blackjack, and poker tables. Here, Farmers Insurance’s Victoria Negron, and Diverse Solutions’ Gloria and Steve Forus, Linda Reed and Steven Gray.
Local restaurants featured tastings such as chipotle chicken salad cups from Bazin’s on Church, mini carne asada tacos from Taco Bamba, and chocolate peanut butter mousse from Seasons 52. Here, The Women’s Center’s Shirley Clark and Robin Thurman with her husband, Bob.
