Rod Stewart & Santana!
Last night we went to Rod Stewart and Santana: The Voice, The Guitar, The Songs tour at Verizon Center. Two super stars for five decades joined forces for a hit-packed concert. We snapped Santana with bandmate.
Santana performed Everybody’s Everything, Black Magic Woman, and Oye Como Va. Over 40 years, he’s sold 100 million records, reached 100 million fans at concerts worldwide, and won 10 Grammys, many of which were for 1999’s Supernatural, including Album of the Year and Record of the Year for Smooth.
Rod Stewart has sold 150 million albums worldwide and been inducted twice into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He sang Infatuation and You Wear It Well; we snapped him leading the crowd chanting along with Forever Young.
Toward the end of the three-hour set, split evenly between the two stars, Rod Stewart, here with his band, was joined by Santana on stage for a cover of the Etta James hit I'd Rather Go Blind.
