Ted Turner Reception!
We celebrated media mogul and philanthropist Ted Turner at the National Portrait Gallery.
Ted Turner is best known as the founder of CNN and TBS, and for his continued support to the UN Foundation. We snapped the icon at the unveiling of the gallery’s new portrait, representing his inspiring people to make changes for a better future. In front, PBS NewsHour’s Judy Woodruff, who introduced him.
Guests tasted barbecue shrimp with chorizo and bison sliders, since Ted also owns Ted’s Montana Grill, known for bison meat from his ranch. Here, FCC’s Tom Wheeler, Alignment Government Strategies’ Bert Carp and Decker Anstrom.
400 fans and supporters networked. Here, UN Foundation’s Seema Jalan and Justine Desmarais, and Resource Media’s Cat Lazaroff.
UN Foundation’s Kalee Kreider, Communications Consultants’ Beth Elliott and The Freimuth Group’s Ladeene Freimuth.
