Ultimate Girl's Night Out!
We went to Ultimate Girls Night OutSaturday, complete with manicurist, masseuse, and make-up artists, at Chinatowns Pepco Edison Place Gallery, hosted by Fox5 News Anchor Shawn Yancy (right). We snapped her with co-worker, Fox5 Meteorologist Sue Palka. They flank Pepco VP of Corp. Citizenship, Debbie Jarvis.
The event, now in its fourth year, brought guests and vendors together for drinks, delicacies, mini-makeovers and, the highlight of the evening, the designer clothing exchange, as guests were invited to spring clean their closets and swap for new duds. Here, Roselle Center for Healings Jennifer Sims, Tigerlily Foundation prez Maimah Karmo, and W Salons Sounty West.
Items that werent swapped were donated to Dress for Success DC or Marthas Outfitters, a community thrift store in the U Street Corridor. We snapped representatives of both organizations: Marthas Table manager Gyasi Payton, former Dress for Success DC exec director Megan Goffney, and its Advisory Board Prez Jessica Hanson.
