WNO Bravo!
Last night we also joined opera lovers young and old for the first annual Washington National Opera Bravo! Club Spring Gala at the Embassy of Croatia. We snapped gala co-chairs Coetzee Pretorius and Eric Tipler with Castleton Crescendo’s Laura Lieberman and Jeremy Skog.
The gala celebrated WNO’s spring production of Mozart’s The Magic Flute. The highlight was when Domingo Cafritz Young Artist Norman Garrett, right, serenaded the room with songs from the upcoming production. He’s with WNO Trustee Edward Asher and Bravo! Club outreach member Anne Kline.
Throughout the evening, guests enjoyed special Croatian hors d’oeuvres, including stuffed grape leaves, and wines from Notaviva Vineyards. Here, Geico’s Scott Davis, Manuel Newby, and Jessica Fairley surround Celerity’s Laura Hardy; at right, NAFSA’s Frank Hauer.
The Bravo! Club is a young professionals group dedicated to cultivating a new generation of DC opera lovers. WNO’s The Magic Flute begins May 3. Here, Stages Premier USA’s Jordan Monroe, Prudential’s Silvia Tergas, and Amerititle Settlements’ Scott Sweitzer.
