Saturday we went to the WPAS Gala and Auction at the Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. We snapped South African Ambassador Ebrahim Rasool, his DCM Nowetu Luti, and his wife Rosieda Shabodien.
We listened to South African singer/songwriter Vusi Mahlasela, known as The Voice of South Africa, who inspired many in the anti-apartheid movement. Here, gala women’s committee member Carolyn Wilson with WPAS CEO Jenny Bilfield.
Since 1965, the Washington Performing Arts has connected community and artists. Through live events in 11 venues, it's launched careers of emerging artists and supported established artists.
