America’s Promise!
Last night we also went to the America’s Promise Alliance's first Promise Night Awards Gala at the historic Howard Theatre. We snapped General Colin Powell and his wife, Alma Powell, with country singer Larry Gatlin. General Powell is the founding chairman of America's Promise Alliance, the nation's largest partnership committed to improving the lives of young people.
The evening included a VIP reception, seated dinner of arugula salad and filet mignon, and a dessert and dancing reception. Here, former US Ambassador Stuart Bernstein and his wife, Wilma Bernstein, Ernst & Young CEO Mark Weinberger and Gary Gasper.
