Exclusively Inclusive!
We stopped by the National Museum of Women in the Arts Friday for Exclusively Inclusive presented by Brightest Young Things, and snapped NMWA's Stacy Meeter, Christina Knowles and Carolyn Higgins with BYT creator Svetlana Legetic.
The after-hours experience featured access to the contemporary photography exhibition She Who Tells a Story: Women Photographers from Iran and the Arab World, FotoTalks curated by FotoDC and Women Photojournalists of Washington. Here, DJ Ayes Cold with singers MUNDY and Candice Mills, who performs with the bands Crystal Youth and See-I.
Among the artists showcased at the exhibition were Jacquelyn Martin, staff photojournalist at the Associated Press, the last photojournalist to shoot Nelson Mandela; her project "Tribe of Ghosts" will be on display at the museum. The artwork was paired with a DJ set by Best Coast. Here, Best Coast's Bethany Cosentino with Food.com's Yonas Hassen.
This was part of Brightest Young Things’ 10-Year Anniversary series of events. Guests were treated to creative cocktails and food inspired by the many artworks on display. OM Digital's Thy Bui and Luke Hennenfent flank Accenture's Nhut Pho.
