Catholic Charities Gala!
The 2017 Catholic Charities Gala was held on Saturday at the Washington Marriott Wardman Park Hotel. The annual event is the single most important fundraising event for Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Washington and was attended by more than 1,200 guests and raised $2.4M. This year’s event featured a cocktail reception, a short program including Cardinal Donald Wuerl, Archbishop of Washington, a birthday tribute to honor President and CEO of Catholic Charities Monsignor John Enzler, dinner and dancing. Catholic Charities meets the most pressing human needs, serving more than 127,000 people last year through 58 programs in 36 locations throughout DC and Montgomery, Prince George’s, Charles, Calvert and St. Mary’s counties in Maryland.
