Chance For Life!
So many great events over the weekend, despite the dreadful weather. On Saturday we braved the snow and headed to the The Sphinx Club on K Street for the 10th annual Chance For Life.
DC’s one-of-a-kind annual charity event raises funds and awareness for Pediatric Spinal Cord Cancer Research with a giant poker tournament and wine and scotch tasting. We snapped Duxe.com’s Sam Sanders, Long & Foster’s Kristen Hopkins and consultant Robert Nelson.
The annual event has raised $1M. Here, bankers Terry Anderson and Kate Barnard surround Burness’ Michelle Dirst.
The poker tournament has a grand prize of a $10k seat at the World Series of Poker in Las Vegas. Here, WFP's Julia Ghafouri with Scott and Olga Jaeckel.
Guests enjoyed various appetizers from chef Spike Mendelsohn during the wine tasting, such as delicious steamed pork buns. Here, Exterior Medics’ Lauren Edwards, Mark Watson and Vanessa Watkins.
Chance for Life was founded by RedPeg Marketing prez Brad Nierenberg in honor of his goddaughter Kennedy Snyder, who's battled pediatric spinal cord cancer. Here, his colleagues Andrew Connell and Danielle Effinger bookend singer/songwriter Jessica Rae, and Quirky’s Jackie Zoller.
