Chicago!
Last night we enjoyed the “razzle dazzle” of Broadway musical Chicago in its opening night on the stage of National Theatre.
Set in the 1920s, Chicago follows the story of murderess Roxie Hart, played by Bianca Marroquin, as she dupes the public, the media and her rival cellmate Velma Kelly, played by Terra MacLeod, by hiring Chicago’s slickest criminal lawyer Billy Flynn, played by John O’Hurley, who turns her crime into a stream of sensational headlines.
We snapped theater-goers (and performers themselves in the national tour of Chuggington Live: The Greater Rescue Adventure) Rori Nogee, Jonathan Ramos, Caitlin Sheppard and Alexandra Shieron.
As the longest running American musical, which opened in November 1996, Chicago impresses audiences around the world with songs like All That Jazz and incredible dancing. The six time Tony Award winning musical will be at the National Theatre this week only, through Sunday. Here, DC Mandarin Oriental’s Mindy Adams and Lynn Jason with Stephanie Desibour and Marc Miller.
