Columbia Heights Night!
We headed to All Souls Unitarian Church in Columbia Heights for Columbia Heights Night. We snapped members of the Columbia Heights Initiative who organized the evening: North Columbia Heights Civic Association president David Boyd and his wife, Yavonne, the new CHI chairman with CHI executive director Brianne Dornbush, The Coupe's Gwynne Davis, past chairman Chris Seek, Youth For Understanding's Erin Helland, and fellow board members and community leaders Meghan and Joel Pazmino.
The Columbia Heights Initiative board and their supporters used the evening to celebrate their Great American Main Streets designation from the DC City Council. Here, supporters and neighbors: Barb Sheehy, Jon Renaut, and Carrie and Chris Mitchell.
Throughout the evening, guests were treated to live music, an open bar and a "Taste of Columbia Heights" highlighting the different eateries in the neighborhood. Here, consultant Jennifer Kuiper joins DC Council's Elizabeth Horen and North Columbia Heights Civic Association's David Boyd.
In addition, guests had the opportunity to bid during the extensive silent auction, which featured tastings at some of the region's best restaurants, art from local artists and Columbia Heights experiences. Here, EY's Harvey Haun joins Christina Seek, community activist Danielle Pierce and architect Jeff Lockwood.
Members of a local jazz ensemble performed, much to the delight of attendees.
