DC Goes to Vegas!
Last night we were thrilled to host a party in Las Vegas for 650 DC area folks at the Wynn hotel's glamorous Tryst nightclub; we were all there for a big annual retail expo.
Special guests at the Bisnow Beltway Bash included DC Mayor Muriel Bowser, former DC Mayor Adrian Fenty and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, surrounding Vornado DC chief Mitchell Schear, always special too.
Virginia was in full force with Arlington County economic development chief Victor Hoskins surrounded by a trio of BID presidents: Mary Claire Burick (Rosslyn), Angie Fox (Crystal City) and Tina Leone (Ballston).
Cincinnati mayor’s office’s Oscar Bedolla, Menkiti Group’s Rob Foa and Langdon Hample, K W Commercial’s Faraji Whalen, Civitas Commercial’s Dennis Perkins and Menkiti Group CEO Bo Menkiti.
Continental Title’s Billy Yerman and Kelly Burke, Colliers’ Steve Weiss, Becker Group's Terri Westerlund and Hobson Enterprise’s Robert Hobson.
Sleepy’s Andrew Pixttel, Douglas Development’s Norman Jemal and Paul Milstein and his daughter Haley surrounding Matthew Jemal, and Sean Burke, which Margot and Mark Bisnow somehow photobombed.
NRG’s Stacy Bradford is surrounded by Renaud Consulting’s Henry Renaud, Len Pick and Dean Neiman.
Miles & Stockbridge’s Tom Petty, Charm City Concierge’s Rebecca Lee, Fidelity’s Candace Chazen, VHS’ Tracy Power and Calkain Co CEO Jon Hipp.
We also attended other parties, including a great bash by WeDC, the Washington DC Economic Partnership, around the pool at the SLS. We saw United Bank EVP Kurt Marx with Douglas Development's Norman Jemal.
Nelson Mullins' Gov Relations head Vinoda Basnayake, White Star Investments chief investment officer Craig Bernstein and Dochter & Alexander's David Dochter.
Neighborhood Retail Group managing principal Bethany Scanlon, EagleBank CEO Ron Paul, with Streetsense CEO Marc Ratner and his wife, Nadia.
We also joined a lively dinner at Bardot Brasserie at the Aria, hosted by Perkowitz + Ruth Architects' David Sheldon. He's with the Peterson Cos' Taylor Chess.
Peterson's Marc Menick told us that, despite many photos in Bisnow Real Estate, he'd never been in The Scene, and we told him we'd fix that. So: welcome to The Scene, Melnick (which he's often mistakenly called). He's with Virginia Beach Economic Development director Warren Harris and biz dev manager Michelle Chapleau, and Perkowitz + Ruth's Joseph Serruya.
