DCIFF BlogRoll Party!
Monday night, we headed to Dino's Grotto in Shaw for the DC Independent Film Festival's BlogRoll Party. We snapped Kirsten Hampton with local filmmaker Dr. Sam Hampton, whose film, "Change in the Family," is opening up the entire festival, with DCIFF's Filmmaker Relations' Daniel Erichsen-Teal. During the evening, attendees were treated to previews of films that will be showcased at this year's festival.
Attendees of the BlogRoll party were treated to an array of delicious appetizers and an open bar with a wide variety of beer, wine and cocktails. Here Motion Picture Information Service & DCIFF judge Elias Savada with local screenwriter and filmmaker Shoshana Rosenbaum, who has a short film in the festival. Called "Hide And Seek," it surrounds a former rock musician who becomes a stay-at-home dad who, through a fateful wish, falls into an alternative reality. This year's festival premieres on Wednesday, Feb. 14, and runs through Feb. 19.
