Dinner Under The Stars!
We went to the U.S. National Arboretum for the annual Dinner Under the Stars. The Friends of the National Arboretum celebrated the arboretum's 90th year and this year's theme, the Great Lakes states and their rich agriculture. We snapped FONA's Jeanne Connolly, the arboretum's Dr. Richard Olsen and Marty Sherr.
Guests enjoyed the beautiful weather and mingled at a cocktail reception in the National Herb Garden before heading to the tented dinner on the lawn overlooking the Capitol Columns. Here, Hogan Lovells' Thomas Hechl, FONA's Peggy Strand and Veterinary Club's Bryan Benitz.
A tram tour took guests around the 446-acre Arboretum, which highlighted its history, gardens and collections. Here, Woody Price is surrounded by friends Cathy Millgan, Mary Lischer and Bettye Chamber.
Proceeds will go toward FONA's mission to support the arboretum, research and educating the public of its importance. Bartlett Tree Experts' Tim and Mary Zastrow, Laurin and Ryan Grub, Tracie and Bill Eck, and Jessica and Mike DeGregorio.
