Dreams for Kids!
We went to Georgetown University Saturday for a celebrity baseball clinic for Dreams for Kids DC as Washington Nationals players spent the day with special needs children. We snapped Nationals’ pitcher Craig Stammen with Owen Lochhead.
The Nats spent all afternoon playing, instructing and signing autographs for the aspiring ballplayers and their families, allowing the kids to build confidence, self-respect and motivation. Here, Nats’ catcher Wilson Ramos with sisters Addison and Payton Balsis.
DFKDC organizes life-changing activities that empower children with physical and developmental disabilities so they can reach their full potential. Here, Miss District of Columbia Teen USA Niara Iman with Aniya Hamilton, Matthew Lemay, Grenderline Etheridge and Georgetown baseball player Paul Bell.
The smiles were contagious, from volunteers to participants. Here, former Nats player Mike O’Connor with Anna Fleischauer, Lucie Roach and Corinne Lomascolo.
