For the Dogs!

We went to the historic 6th & I Synagogue to celebrate the great work of the Washington Humane Society. We snapped CEO Lisa LaFontaine, who said they help people too: often, when animals are abused, WHS learns that the women and children living in the home were abused also, and send them help.
At the reception: activist Barry Karas, WHS Board member Nina Benton, PhRMA’s Mark Grayson, and telecom guru Larry Harris and wife Susan.
We were treated to a chat about their love of animals by two authors of books about dogs: Rin Tin Tin author Susan Orlean and Inside of a Dog author Alexandra Horowitz.
