Green Tie Affair!
Last night we went to the Embassy of Finland (the first LEED Platinum embassy in the U.S.) for The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) National Capital Region’s 2016 Green Tie Affair.
This annual winter celebration brings together leaders in the sustainability community for an evening of networking, food and drinks. We snapped SK&A Structural Engineers’ Charmaine Josiah, Sikandar Porter-Gill and Jim Palmer with DVA Architects’ Bala Srini and Boland Trane’s Steven Beatrice.
Guests snacked on smoked salmon, goat cheese and shrimp as they mingled through the embassy’s beautiful reception area. Here, HOK’s Erin Ezell and Vanessa Hostick flank Gensler’s Brynn Kurtzman and Liz Resenic.
Guests were encouraged to dress in green attire and accessories for a chance to win prizes for the best green dress. Here, AtSite’s Emily Curley and Lauren Senchack (third from left) are with Embassy of Finland’s Emilia Honkasaari and The Christman Co’s Meg Honigberg.
DOEE’s Katie Bergfeld and Marshall Duer-Balkind (third from left) are with Cushman & Wakefield’s Emily Paciolla and Katie Ross.
