Hispanic Heritage Celebration!
Last night, we went to the Greater Washington Hispanic Chamber of Commerce's Hispanic Heritage Celebration at the PNC Bank Building.
We snapped GWHCC board member and PNC Bank's Edward Puzio with GWHCC President/CEO Angela Franco and US Department of Housing and Urban Development assistant secretary Gustavo Velasquez.
The GWHCC hosted the gathering of local entrepreneurs and business leaders of all backgrounds to celebrate Hispanic culture, heritage and achievement. Here, media marketing specialist Tony Barajas and Navegante Personal Finance founder/CEO Carlos Coutin.
During the event, Gustavo—who previously served as executive director of the Latino Economic Development Center—was presented with the Chairman’s Award for his service in the DC community and his inspiring success story as a Hispanic professional. Here, DC's Shadow Rep. in the House of Representatives, Franklin Garcia, and Chromis Event Strategies' Michelle Rathbun.
GWHCC helps the success of Hispanic and other minority-owned businesses by providing networking, outreach, advocacy and education opportunities for its members and the broader community. Here, Salsa Labs' Ilona Globa and Natalie Salawaga, who works in social services.
