How Did This Get Made?
Friday, we went to the "How Did This Get Made?" live podcast taping at Lincoln Theatre. Here, co-host Paul Scheer taking questions from the audience. HDGTM is consistently one of the 10 most-downloaded comedy podcasts and has sold out shows across the country, with the D.C. show selling out instantly.
Each episode of the popular podcast asks the question: Have you ever seen a movie so bad that it’s good? Hosts Scheer, known for his roles on "The League" and currently on HBO’s "Veep," and Jason Mantzoukas ("The League," "The House" and the upcoming TV show "No Activity") joined guests Bentzen Ball curator and comedian Tig Notaro and her wife, Stephanie, to discuss the cinematic Halloween cult classic "Howling II: ... Your Sister Is a Werewolf," which will air in November on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher and Earwolf network. Here, Stephanie and Tig Notaro with Scheer.
The podcast taping was part of last weekend’s ninth annual Bentzen Ball comedy festival produced by Brightest Young Things, named for Ollie Bentzen, who allegedly laughed himself to death while watching "A Fish Called Wanda."
