Indiana Jones!
Last night we also went to the opening of the Indiana Jones and the Adventure of Archaeology exhibit at the National Geographic Museum. We snapped Nat Geo’s Abigail Bysshe, Cynthia Doumbia and Lauren Ippolito.
Fans were encouraged to come Indiana-clad in fedoras, leather jackets and, of course, khaki for the reception in Nat Geo's courtyard. Guests drank Dogfish Head’s Ancient Ales and noshed on food truck fare from Rita Loco, Popped Republic, and Captain Cookie & the Milkman. Here, Argosy U’s John Bozeman and Barbara Papendorp.
The "holy grail" for Indy fans, the exhibit includes original costumes, props, videos and storyboards from all four movies, and archeological artifacts that inspired the films, such as the chalices from the Last Crusade and the Arc of the Covenant from Raiders of the Lost Arc. Here, attorney Spencer Nichols, analyst Cicia Halasowski, and DOD’s Audrey Nichols, Alex Marin and Connor Benedict.
The movie relics are on loan from the Lucas Museum and will be on display all year. Here, Spy Museum’s Erin Harroyn, National Tour Assn's Morgan Maravich, Destination DC’s Lindsay Hill, EF Explore America's Cali Orr, and Cleon Mcmillan.
