Pink Tie Party!
Last night we went to the the Pink Tie Party at the Ronald Reagan Building!
Despite the snow outside, we celebrated nearing the end of winter and welcomed spring and cherry blossom season at the annual all-pink affair. We snapped Newseum's Cassie Hurley, Elizabeth Dickson, Mandie Middleton and Niki Ianhi and the Humane Society's Bethany Wynn-Adams.
The cherry-inspired cocktails were plentiful, we sipped on cherry tart chardonnay, bourbon okame cherry soda, kwanzan cherry old fashioned and a geisha gal cocktail. Here, University of DC's John Gordon, Gonzalez & Hawkins' Samantha Hawkins and Magellan Health Services' Wyl Strong.
Guests ate bites of Conosci's miso-cured oysters; Colada Shop's cuban croquetas; Ivy City Smokehouse's smoked salmon; and indulged in the Reagan Building's dessert buffet, with cherry turnovers on a stick, brown butter cherry bars and cherry panna cotta.
