Points of Light!
Last night, we headed to the German Ambassador's Residence in the Foxhall neighborhood for the Points of Light Tribute Awards Gala.
We snapped supporter Bob Frank with Points of Light chair Neil Bush with Advisory Board member and supporter, Palm Restaurant's Wally Ganzi. Neil spoke to the efforts of the organization his father founded in 1990 and the inherent connection with German reunification.
Prior to the seated dinner and program, guests enjoyed a lavish reception on the residence's terrace overlooking the embassy's grounds with Rosslyn shining in the distance. Here, evening host and former DC journalist Paul Berry joins supporters Joyce and Gary Trybus.
Guests enjoyed an open bar with German-inspired appetizers, including a bratwurst station. Here, Princeton's Rick Barton and his wife, Kit Lunney, join the evening's host, German Ambassador Peter Wittig with board member and Personal Pathways CEO Gregg Petersmeyer.
During the reception, guests enjoyed a string quartet playing during the beautiful fall evening. Here, sponsor and supporter Sandy Ganzi joins Maria Bush.
Following the reception, guests entered the residence for the seated dinner and awards presentations. Here, Royal Bank of Canada's Masud Akbar and his wife, Cidalia Luis-Akbar, the ambassador's wife and hostess Huberta von Voss-Wittig and supporter Fred Bush.
Guests dined on pan-roasted diver scallops, crab cakes and a petit black angus filet. Here, chief of staff under George H.W. Bush Jean Becker joins BB&R Wellness Consulting's Therese Burch, US Chamber of Commerce's Tom Collamore and supporter Susie Peake.
