Refugees International!

Last night, we headed to Andrew Mellon Auditorium for the Refugees International’s 38th annual Anniversary Dinner.

Refugees International’s annual Anniversary Dinner is an awards ceremony and celebration honoring individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership and commitment to humanitarian action. We snapped the evening's benefit chairs, restaurateurs Fabio and Maria Trabocchi. 

Here, the evening's master of ceremonies and Refugees International board member Academy Award-nominated actor Matt Dillon listens as a member of the Refugees International team recounts his visit to one of hundreds of refugee camps around the world.

The Ambassador of Azerbaijan Elin Suleymanov joins Dr. Michael Olding and the evening's honorary chair, the Ambassador of Kosovo Vlora Çitaku, with Mike Trager and Suleymanov's wife, Lala Abdurahimova. 

This year’s McCall-Pierpaoli Award, RI’s highest humanitarian award, was presented by Queen Noor of Jordan to the White Helmets, a volunteer rescue group responsible for saving more than 78,000 lives during the Syrian civil war. Here, White Helmets interpreter Hanane Kada and Refugees International director for policy and advocacy Hans Hogrefe with patron and supporter Marie Royce.
