The Big Easy At Service Bar!
Last night, we headed to Service Bar DC on U Street for a sampling of its new rotating regional cocktail menu, featuring drinks infused with local culture and culinary influences. The first spotlight is the home of Mardi Gras and birthplace of jazz: New Orleans, right in time for Fat Tuesday! We snapped TravElaine.com's Elaine Clayton, DC Funemployment's Morgan Fykes and Diego Downtown's Diego Gonzalez.
The cocktail menu features exciting and delicious drinks, each incorporating New Orleans flavors and spirits. Here, bartender and co-owner Chad Spangler prepares one of his signature new cocktails: the Creole punch featuring sazerac rye and Cajun spices.
Guests sampled a variety of appetizers from their new rotating menu, including rice and red beans, vegetarian gumbo and and beignets. Here, DCist's Evan Captain joins OtimWilliams PR's Adra Williams with EaterDC associate editor Tierney Plumb and the Ronald Reagan Building's Trade Center Management Associates' Lanna Nguyen.

Here a play off the traditional Pat O'Briens' Hurricane cocktail.
