Sips!
Saturday night we went to The Newseum for Sips, the first of two extraordinary evenings featuring the country’s finest chefs. We snapped the three people who started it all: cookbook author and honorary chair Joan Nathan and world renowned chefs Jose Andres and Alice Waters.
Guests enjoyed delicious food and cocktails from famed chefs and mixologists, while contributing to the fight against hunger. DC Central Kitchen is America's leader in reducing hunger with recycled food and training unemployed adults for culinary careers; Martha’s Table serves DC's neediest individuals. Here, emcees 94.7 FreshFM's Kelly Collis and Tommy McFly.
Cork owners Diane Gross and Khalid Pitts are flanked by chefs RN74's Adam Sobel and Nick Stefanelli, who was with Bibianna and is opening Masseria at Union Market.
DC Central Kitchen chefs and volunteers, Anthony Fortune, Kwame Simms, Shawn Moore and Joshua Franklin.
