SOUPer Bowl
We went to the new Waterfront Station for the launch of SOUPer Bowl, a championship soup competition and taste off. Top DC restaurants showcased their best soups, ranging from Station 4’s Cream of Butternut Squash to Bar Pilar’s Soupa Doopa Pho. We snapped ISM’s Maddy Burke, ASCE’s Kristin Hicks and Monumental Sports' Marina Soffer.
Guests voted for their favorite soup by dropping poker chips into a bowl at each station. Sampling some of Halsa’s delicious broth: PWHC’s Ryan Zalaskus, Halsa GM Jolyn Chen, DOE’s Tara Ramsey, and Peet’s Coffee & Tea’s Dan Morrone.
There was live music from Motown band The Original Moonlighters, plus a beer garden, mimosas, wine and a football lounge.
