Sunday Supper!
We went to Sunday Supper at Union Market hosted by Edens to benefit the Women in Culinary Leadership Executive Education program.
At the annual dinner, guests sat at long communal tables to enjoy incredible food served family style and prepared by some of DC's top chefs. Congrats to the organizer, Edens CEO Jodie McLean, right; we snapped her with Restaurant Nora chef/owner Nora Pouillon.
The fundraising dinner was organized with the James Beard Foundation. Here, its rep, Chris Moon, is with Arabella Partners' Eric Kessler and his wife, Sharapat.
Masseria's Nick Stefanelli served burrata with Skinny Dipper oysters; Centrolina's Amy Brandwein served charred garlic scapes with roasted shiitake. Here, i Ricchi chef/owner Christianne Ricchi with Susan Gage's Ana Lazo and Emma Rodriguez.
Requin's Jennifer Carroll served Manchester Farms quail drummette à l'orange; Myers + Chang's Karen Akunowicz served blue catfish and green fried rice; Ripple's Marjorie Meek-Bradley served Autumn Olive Farms roasted pork belly and glazed shoulder. Here, Ris Restaurant chef/owner Ris Lacoste, right, with Julia Cohen.
Congrats to Compass Coffee, which recently opened its third location across from Verizon Center. It's gotten a huge following from its devotees, who proclaim it the best coffee anywhere. Here, founders Harrison Suarez and Michael Haft with colleague Nicolette Grams. They served their famous nitrogen infused cold brew, coffee that looks like beer, with foam on top. We enjoyed it with Dolcezza's delish Mississippi Mud Pie.
