Taste of Georgetown!
Saturday we went to the 22nd Annual Taste of Georgetown, moved under the Whitehurst Freeway so we could enjoy despite Hurricane Joaquin. More than 30 neighborhood restaurants offered tastes of their best dishes to raise money for Georgetown Ministry Center’s work supporting the homeless. 1789 Restaurant won Best In Show, Baked and Wired won Sweetest Sweet, Chaia DC won Herbivore's Dream, Clyde's won Carnivore's Champion, and Luke's Lobster won Best Catch From the Sea. Here, Freddie Mac’s Hanna Abebe, KPMG’s Ermias Nessibu, and McEnearney Commercial's Adam Tafesse.
Bodega showcased its giant paella making skills; J Paul’s offered its award-winning Chili Mac & Cheese; we ate nachos from Degrees, Bread Pudding from Martin’s Tavern, and Thai iced tea from I-Thai.
