Tea With Arena Stage!
Wednesday afternoon, we were invited to the Italian Ambassador's Residence, Villa Firenze, to honor Arena Stage board president Beth Newburger Schwartz and her role promoting the Women’s Voices Cycle of Arena Stage’s new Power Plays Initiative. About 75 women went to the beautiful residence in Forest Hills, and enjoyed the gorgeous weather at a reception on the terrace overlooking Rock Creek Park, before heading indoors to an elegant tea, with mini scones and cakes.
We were also treated to three Italian opera arias by Chaz’men Williams-Ali, who will be singing the role of Pinkerton in Madame Butterfly, which debuts Friday, May 19, at the Kennedy Center for the Domingo-Cafritz Young Artist program.
